News!

Hello everyone! I have a lot of news for you! So hang tight because this might take awhile!

First off I would like to apologize for only having one review up so far! I just got back from vacation, so I had a lot of time to read! There will be more reviews coming up, I promise!

I am thinking about starting a Facebook page, so you know when I have a new review up. What do you think? Is it a good idea or not?

I saved the best news for last! I just finished creating my very first logo! It took a little longer then expected, because I did it all by myself in Photoshop. (The only free easy way I could find!) Here it is!
I hope that you like it! I really wanted to have a logo before I made a Facebook page, so you could tell which one is me! (There are a lot Reading Reviewers apparently!) Do you guys like the new logo? I can always change it around if you want!

Thank you,
The Reading Reviewer

P.S. The text that is black and really tiny, I wrote that just for the logo! You can try to read it if you want! I wanted it to look like an actual book! (I even put page numbers! Post a comment with the while story if you can read it!)

The Vampire Academy- By Richelle Mead

The Vampire Academy
By Richelle Mead

"St. Vladimir's Academy isn't just any boarding school-it's a hidden place where vampires are educated in the ways of magic and half-human teens train to protect them. Rose Hathaway is a Dhampir, a bodyguard for her best friend Lissa, a Moroi Vampire Princess. They've been on the run, but now they're being dragged back to St. Vladimir's- the very place where they're most in danger. Rose and Lissa become enmeshed in forbidden romance, the Academy's ruthless social scene, and unspeakable nighttime rituals. but they must be careful lest the Strigoi-the world's fiercest and most dangerous vampires- make Lissa one of them forever."
-Summary provided by the official website

I was able to read this book in less then a 24 hour period of time, but it also consists of 336 pages. The book was a page turner! (My favorite type of reading material!) I was on my seat's edge the whole book. Rose and all of the characters were perfect and I fell in love with them, especially Dimitri. The plot was not necessarily clear until later in the book, which I can understand because the author was setting the scene for a 6 book series. (Of course you are going to want all of that background information!) The only thing that I can complain about is that are a few curse words used and sexual content in the book. (But nothing past P-13.) My age recommendation for this book would be 13+ or at least in middle school because of the language and suggestion that the book gives.
